This award-winning deli has lots of lovely products from the Lake District. Set up by the incurable foodie Lucy, who moved to the Lake District after falling in love with the countryside, the food and her husband, it is big on local produce. It is able to source meats, cheeses and preserves produced on tiny farms, and can even trace meat back to the fell it grazed on. It has its own range of preserves called Mum's the Word, produced by Lucy's mother using a family recipe. It also stocks organic spices and fresh fruit and veg, hoping it will be a one-stop shop for home cooking.
