Wines at Lucy4

Welcome to the wonderful vinous world of Lucy4. Our philosophy is straightforward - interesting wines at good value prices; that they should have good varietal character and lots of fruit is taken for granted.  We also think that to be include on our groaning wine rack such wines should show something out of the ordinary, be it an unusual blend or grape variety, a certain iconic style albeit with a twist, a funky country or be a benchmark for all others.

When we sit down (it helps to sit when you see how many wines we taste each year) every Spring we start with a clean slate and begin the process of choosing that years wines… We take into account what sold last year, what is new and funky in the liquid world of wine, what the staff have drunk recently that turned them on (enough said on that little matter, methinks) and what customers have recommended.  Then it's grab a corkscrew time and bottoms up as they say!
